Movie Mondays!

Design freaks... this is a NOT MISS FILM! If you have a love of typography you will find yourself riveted by the story behind the ubiquitous Helvetica. This documentary features interviews with many people responsible for designing a bulk of the typefaces we encounter and use in our daily lives. Even the casual viewer will find parts of this film fascinating as it details the story of something you cannot help to encounter over the course of your daily travels. Helvetica has become so prevalent as a means of conveying information and meaning we can hardly imagine a world where it did not exist, but the story of how it came to be is as important as the font is itself. A wonderful film!

I’m repurposing content by taking my NetFlix reviews and posting them here on the blog. If I could figure out a way to do it, I’d post some kind of link for people to connect and make me their friend on the service. Unfortunately, it isn’t altogether clear how one would do that - so if you know a way, pass it along. In the meantime, I’ve got steady content for at least a year.
